Faster game speeds

It seems that several complaints have come from the fact that a good deal of a typical Sins game is spent waiting for resources to accrue or ships to cross a gravity well. I am of this opinion as well. Rather than increase ship speeds alone or resource speeds alone, which could potentially lead to futher balance issues and concerns, I would like to see even faster overall game speeds than the ones offered presently. Even when playing on "fast" (and does anyone ever not play on "fast"?), the problems stated above occur fairly frequently, and are even compunded the larger the map you play.
Sure, this might make some of the battles more frenetic for the player as more actions are taking place in less real-time, but I feel that it is far better for a game to keep me as mentally engaged as possible over the course of the whole game rather than waiting for ships to pass in the (interstellar) night as I write my grocery list...
