Tab opening slowing down during the day.

I am running START11 latest version. Since I upgraded to this version, I have noticed an issue.

I am running at most 3 - 4 tabs open on the taskbar. Lets say I started the computer up at 8AM, all tabs respond immediately. By 12PM I start to notice that the respond time is slowing down. By 4PM the response time of the tabs can be up to 10 seconds. Same for the Start button, opening new folders. Unless I reboot the time to respond keeps increasing. 

Initially, I thought RAM issue (16GB DDR4 installed). Clearing RAM makes no difference. CPU load according to task manager around 2% with spikes to 20%. Edge the main user of RAM around 1GB. 

If I uninstall START11, the problem is gone. Makes me think it is a START11 problem.

Any ideas? I am running Server 2025. Nothing connected to it. Just a standalone PC, fed up with 10/11.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Unclear, what do you mean by tab opening. Post a video would help us understand your issue better.

Also, need few more details.

  1. Windows 11 full version and OS Build number. Use Winver.exe to get these numbers.
  2. Start11 full version number installed.

Tabs on the taskbar - are these thumbnails from an app that is open with multiple windows?

You can use any screen capture apps. One free one, which pretty good for me is ShareX.
