I'm aware of that, but at the time it seemed a better idea to purchase the whole whack of OD
WindowBlinds was just a pain in the rear though, and I've never found a need for any of the other applications in the set. As far as I can see, there's now no option to renew the single program without paying for the others :)
ObjectDock on the other hand I use extensively, I suppose my point is that I'd like a little choice on precisely what's provided in the bundle.

Not really intended as a dig.

Cheers

Any word on when a compatible X64 version of IP will be out?? I uninstalled 3.99 and my icons are still screwed up...

Icon Packager 4 is compatible with XP64bit. However you should be aware that going forward no further updates will be made XP64 bit compatible. At least not by intention they will not be. This applies to all Stardock software and updates. My apologies but I wanted to give you a heads up ahead of time. I posted an article about it last week.

Is it possible to activate OD'08 without being online? I don't have a personal internet connection and I am forced to use public terminals. There is no way for me to get a personal line, not for 8 more months, and I would like to be using my Object Desktop products before then. I purchased them after all.

I have the same questionl. I bought Deskscapes 2 and very satisfied. Now i want to have Windowblinds, Object dock and CursorFX+, as well as VistaTweak and IconPackager ( spelling optional). So i will have to spend a total of $100 plus the Deskscapes 2. The total would be $120, which is way unaffordable for me. Is there a way to get some discount ?

Thx for the reply, but even so i still have to spent $40 for cursorFX and OD+, which turns out to be $100 again. There're a load of components i don't need in the ultimate upgrade. I guess there's no way then.

You are correct.  While Stardock want to be fair with their customers they also want to feed their kids.  ;0

LoL. Point taken. In my country, $100 can feed a whole family for a month ^^. But still, having to spend much money, should i able to get something extra, like subscription and such? Also, the upgrade from 1 component to the full ultimate link doesn't work for me - after i verified, i was taken to the option to upgrade, when i click, it says no such site or something like that.

Email sales@stardock.com.
See what they can do (after the three-day weekend).

Here's a screenshot

I really want it now, lol. Is there really no way around ?
EDIT: the reg works, but the ultimate doesn't... I will send an email on Monday.

Well I am here. Unfortunately I don't do you much good since I am not sales. What you are wondering at isn't totally uncommon but there isn't anything I know of. However there is a 90day return policy. You could buy them now and negotiate with sales on Tues if you liked. That way you could get your money back if you need to.

Just a thought.

Just curious, what holiday are you guys having in US? I'm in Canada and i just had Victoria day, is it like similar?
Thanks, so you suggest that i can purchase, and negotiate for the rebate of $14 ( or something) extra i have to pay? I would certainly do so if you confirm that the negotiation is possible. I need it urgent just because i want something nice for my Birthday ^^ .
Edit: Last question, because i purchase ultimate, i will be a subscriber, so will i able to buy Cursor FX and OD+ with 20% discount, like it said on the website?

You certainly can't barter with them if that is what you mean. There are guidelines as to what, if any, discounts can apply. What I am suggesting is that you can buy what you want and if sales tells you that no discount is possible then you could return some of the purchases so there would be no loss to you. Not the best suggestion but it will only cost you time and effort instead of money.

This is Memorial day. Our celebration and remembrance of when the best sales were presented to us at the mall..... no wait that isn't right.

I mean Memorial day is when we honor fallen service men and women. It means that most places of work (save for the big retail places which are all having sales) have Monday off and Stardock is no exception. I will still be around randomly to kick around.

Zubaz,

1. Great! Nice to hear that it won't break my piggy bank to re-up. :D

2. But still no idea when our first theme will arrive? :SNIFF!:

3. Not even a hint? :SNIFF!::SNIFF!:

So i was able to upgrade to ultimate today for some strange reason :D:D:D. But will i get upgrade to subscriber? I think it's said that i will if i buy the objectc desktop ultimate.

I purchased Object Desktop 08 and so far, I've only been able to activate WindowBlinds 6. I'm using offline activation because I am in Iraq and have no way to go online. I've copied the appropriate code into a sig6.bin file which successfully activated WindowBlinds 6 but my other programs aren't responding to it.

Email support@stardock.com

. . . . . And be safe.
Well that's the thing, I've probably talked to 5 different reps from stardock support, and billing, and have YET to get an answer. I'm getting very frustrated. The software should COME with instructions on how to activate each product.

I saved the activation code sig6.bin file to every software directory in the object desktop 08 suite, and so far the only program that successfully activated is WindowBlinds.

And thanks, it is pretty nasty here. The baddies like the summer time.
Only WindowBlinds6 would require the sig.bin file to be named as such. Every other program would require sig.bin.

However each sig.bin would be different per program. This means that each program requires the activation process. Here is what you should do.

Go through these steps:

https://www.stardock.helpserve.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=447&ratingconfirm=1

After that send each activation string to us at support@stardock.com in an email (spaced out) and we (likely ME) will send you back the code for each sig.bin for you. That should get it ironed out.

Thanks, now I just have to put up with the ridiculous wait (it's been 3 days now, and it took over 2 weeks for my first response) to get the reply with my activation codes.... yay. (yak)
That responce should be within minutes. Please forward the code you sent to activate@stardock.com to support@stardock.com so we can manually process it for you.

We updated ODNT Launchpad for ODNT 2008, so it may be something we need to fix in the application itself, not Impulse.

Old thread, recent discovery.DX builder mode crashes on me if launched from the launchpad. It also won't start DX in client mode or load objects 80% of the time.Widgets are ok.There may be a bug there. DX Launches fine from the start menu or a desktop shortcut.I have reported it to milksama,ref.ticket#JWV-607561,for informational purposes. As long as it runs,I'm happy. :D
