install suite problems in vista

multiple problem, does not recognize cursorfx or logonstudio or bootskin

I am certain all needed programs are installed yet it fails to see them. For one I can imagine that it fails to see cursorfx because it is looking for cursorxp. As for the others I dont know. It does try to install and apply but only gets the screen background. Also I install sputnik suite and when I rebooted it did startup repair. It had installed the suite and it worked and then after startup repair all was gone including some of the before mentioned programs. I dont understand why notes are not attached to each suite telling what it will work with. Even thought really all three auxillary programs above claim to work on vista I can see the truth is more complex. Can anyone help or point to a post or two. Thanks

If you're trying regular bootskin on vista = it won't work

If you're trying beta (if available - hadn't checked SDC for it since I use XP)

Blurb:

Your own boot screen: BootSkin Vista
Stardock BootSkin allows users of Windows XP to change their boot screens. So what about Windows Vista users? On Windows Vista, the default is not boot screen at all! With BootSkin Vista, you'll be able to have your own high-resolution, high color boot screen of your choice.

Like BootSkin for Windows XP, when completed it'll be released as freeware. But the initial beta will be on Object Desktop only.

Availability: Mid March for beta on Object Desktop.

may not be able to tell why they won't show up:

until maybe you detail which it can't see them

SDC?
Impulse?
