Star Trek Mod, Star Trek Ship Packs

Hello,

  I'm relatively new to the forum. I just got the game and it's amazing. Lots of strategy. The only bad thing is that it takes so much time to play! Anyway, I made some custom star trek ships, probably like a large part of the people who play. They look okay, nothing great compared to some of the pics i saw in the best ships of 2007, 06. So I looked around the site and there are hardly any star trek ship packs. I found out about the mod and registered but have been waiting for a week for my account to be validated.
  So I have two problems. Is there another place to get the star trek mod besides this site:

And is it normal to wait a while to get registered or is the mod dead?

My second problem is with star trek ship packs. Are they banned here because of copyright? Is there another community forum out there where they are posted? I would rather import high quality work than try to reproduce it. I'm just not that skilled. Also, time is a factor - I don't have the time to play this game as it is, let alone build ships for all the major races I'd like to see in this game! Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks for looking!

That is probably the best Star Trek mod out there, and the ships are high quality.
You will have to download the entire mod to get the ships, though.

It will take a little work on your part if you only want the ships.
You need to copy the hull .x model files and related .png graphics files into your 'mods\Gfx\Models' folder, and the relevant ship .xlm files into your 'mods\Data\ShipComponents folder. If there are thumbnail files, copy them into your 'mods\Gfx\Thumbnails folder.

I use a combination of Kryo's Hull System Mod (KHSM), my own stuff and portions of the Star Trek mod (the ships and certain portions of the tech tree that I like) - all combined under the KHSM folder structure.

yes it takes a little while some times to get activated there

Ya it is. But it still sucks! Anyway, why are there no ship packs for Star Trek or Star wars here. I see lots of logos but almost no ship packs. Is it because of copyright infringement?
