Which section of the forum should I go to to talk about GalCiv III and it's possibilities?

I would love to start a discussion about what we all want from GalCiv III.... actually, I would be surprised if there aren't already multiple topics covering that subject... anyone wanna point me in that direction please?  I'd appreciate it.

The MAIN thing I'd like to add (and I know you guys will say I'm crazy)..... KEEP the 4x side of the game 100% intact... the game plays the same, BUT there would be one HUGE difference.

When it comes time to do ANY battle: the player could have the option to watch/control from the top down view as normal OR the player could decide to jump into ANY of his ships at any time during the fight and have complete control over the ship in a SIMULATED view.

I'm sure this has been thought of before, and bashed down: but this would really make GalCiv III one of the best video games of all time.

That's my one wish.

What's y'alls?

I read in an interview with one of the devs that they have programmed the engine to have no limit to model polygons or texture size in GalCiv2. This effectively means that they can keep upgrading the look of GalCiv2 without ever having to make a new engine. If you look at the texture differences between DA and ToA, it's pretty stunning. and they say ToA uses LESS memory to run.

Because of this, I don't see a GalCiv3 coming out for quite a long time. They can conceivably just keep making expansions for GalCiv2.

The only reason to make a new GalCiv would be to totally redesign the core gameplay, which I don't see happening.

There are things I would like to see however, but they've been discussed to death.

Some sort of Carrier module that allows large and Huge Ships to transport a number of small and tiny ships, eliminating the need for engines on the small ships.

Stealth and player Piracy.

Terraformable worlds having extra bonuses depending on type, which require a third researachable tech to exploit (ex: Aquatic Farming: Food production on Aquatic worlds increases by 25%, researched after Advanced Aquatic World Colonization. Or Radioactive Mining: Radioactive worlds give you a 5% bonus to weapon damage)
