XPLOSIV galciv 2 serial invalid?

heres the beef. I got civ2 in the "re-release" xplosiv version, 2 Cd's, a serial (28 characters from 0-9 and A-F) the key isnt atcepted, and Stardock central suggests i buy the game again >_< i've filed a "support ticket" but i figured i should ask here. are ther any tricks to getting my key atcepted? like a hyphen every 3 characters? hell... i've tried caps and no caps, 0 and O. I'm kinda stuck... not that i've not had fun playing, i'm just getting a few sound stutter bugs and i figured a patch might save me.

okay.... call me thick but..

Please go through a manual activation process. If you still have problems copy and paste the error message it kicks back to you along with the activation string in an email to me. I will try to run it from this end.

An activation string is a long serial number that starts like this: m=1&v=1&a1=D13A622050BB308A....

i was sent this in responce of my ticket and i cant follow these steps.

but as best i can i send an email to activate@stardock.com starting

but i couldnt get it to attempt an auto email :(

Please send us the error message you got with that activation string in it. I will try to manually process it from our end.

i've sent the tickets, but it never even gets that far.

I just get told my serial is invalid when i try and register with stardock central.

Start up a ticket with us. Details on account info cannot be posted in the forums. If you have a ticket with us that has not been addressed post the ticket ID number here and I will track it down for you.
