Problem downloading..

Ok, so I try and download a game from SDC and it freezes at 1%.  I don't have any security programs running on my computer besides whatever my router does, and i log in and register fine.  I have tried emailing support, and my reply message gets flagged as SPAM.  I try calling their tech support number, and I get an answering machine message.  Im guessing this is my last resort.  Last time I ever buy anything from here.

Which version of Stardock Central are you running (Help->About SDC)?

Which game is it that you're attempting to download?

What kind of internet connection do you have?

In many cases it is not actually that the email is flagged as spam, but rather that it is missing something important - blank subject line, blank body, etc. There is a checklist included in the auto-response you receive which details the possible missing information that could have caused the problem. Just be sure the email you submit follows those guidelines (which I don't think are too demanding). You could alternatively just submit the email directly through the system at https://www.stardock.helpserve.com or through the form at https://www.stardock.com/about/contactus.asp

Have you left a message on the phone system? Those are monitored and returned promptly. It's possible you might have called in at a time the phones were busy, during lunch break or at a time outside support hours, 9AM - 4PM EST.

Version: 2.52.516, build: 165

Game: Sins of a Solar Empire

Internet: Comcast, broadband cable

When I download, it starts opening stuff and then always freezes at 1% on the (file?) Pandemonium Galaxy... I'll try to look back at the e-mail, thanks.

Im having a similar problem..

i am also trying to download 'Sins of a Solar Empire' but it gets to a max of 2% done before it restarts. Also it restarts 3 times before it has an error sign about how it keeps timing out. I have Shaw Broadband Cable. It times out while downloading 'sin.sdc'

SC Version: 2.52.516 build: 165

Please Help,
Lachlan

First thing to try is to reinstall Stardock Central. Also after doing this clear the cookies from your internet browser.

 -Run the file here: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/remove_sdc.bat
 -Restart your computer
 -Reinstall SDC from here: http://sdc.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe

Let me know if you still have troubles after this.

I reinstalled SDC but it says that there is an error when i finish the reinstall that it cannot download all the required files or something like that in the window that comes up the first time you open SDC..

But SDC still opens and seems to work so I try to install 'Sins of a Solar Empire' again but it times out again.. this is the log:

Lach any security software you can try disabling? Are you ever getting the 1001 error out of Stardock Central?
