2 year hiatus

Hey guys. Anyone from 2006 still here? :P

Errr. I noticed the Twilight stuff after getting bored at work and checked out the features. Got me interested in ship design again. What are some of the latest ship designs looking like these days? I mean designs using in-game elements, not modded.

Here's my last effort, for example. 2 years old in case you think they're crap. The designer was good but restrictive back then. :)

You can try the ship designer now, since you can download the beta from SDC! A lot of stuff changed in two years so you'll get pretty excited!

I was around back then but lurked up until several months ago. Boards are still friendly as ever even if the posters have rotated.

Sweet ships! I know that DA has more hulls and changed the layout of the designer a bit. There are also some extra parts, I think mainly the pieces that make up starbases. I haven't tinkered with TA yet so I don't know.

A lot of the new modules for ships in TA have to do with fleet-wide bonuses. Example, if you have a Warp Bubble on 1 ship in a fleet, then that fleet will move faster.

I've seen, even used, the offensive and defensive meditation modules. How do you get the warp bubble, and can all races get it?

I know some races cant get the bubble (Arceans at least), and its an offshoot of the propulsion branch.

Some nice ships in those threads. I wonder what the new editors will allow. Sounds interesting. Anyway, back to EVE until they come out. :P
