<3 the map designer

Wow, didn't realize it was that easy to make maps. Small learning curve to it, and takes some time but totally worth it.

Anyone else using it to make their maps?


EDIT: Suggestion: Include an option for what players start in the galaxy if possible, or as a single player option.

Well, not really :P I always enjoy random maps the most in any kind of empire/rts game. So i almost never play pre-build static scenarios, and therefore i also never make any, IF the game has random map support =)

Haha, you can make random maps with it. In fact, you can make it entirely random. You have options though; number of stars, number of planets, distance planets are to each other, ect.

You can create some pretty fun scenarios with it, such as stars surrounded by pirate bases; sounded by random planets. It has alot of power.

I regularly get bored at work since I dont have something to do every second of the day. So I have made 2 maps so far. Only played one of them a little which was a 4 player 60 planet map. Little to big for the amount of players so I made another 6 person one which I get to try when I get home. Cant wait. I find it very easy to use and pretty straight forward. Only thing I sometimes wish for is undo button, but its not a real biggy seeing everything is fairly easy to fix if you mess up.

Suggestion: Being able to name planet groups. Hard to remember which one is for planet type X without having to go through each one.
