Can't Boot :(

HELP!!

Hi i just installed LogonStudio and BootSkin, i restarted and booted up windows, the mac (the skin i wanted) boot loader came up, i waited for 10 mins and still did not work, so i renamed vidstub.sys to vidstub.sys.old through Ubuntu, the i booted up windows and the normal windows xp home started to load, waited for 10 mins and still did not work. I have tried safe mode and that dose not work.Is there any thing i can do (using ubuntu)?

Thanks in advance.

Both of thoes software titles are no longer developed or supported.

Please log into safe mode and delete the vidstub.sys file out of the

c:\windows\system32\drivers

folder. I would do this with out Ubentu. If the version you're currently using does not work for you and you've tried reinstalling, please try one of the other versions available at http://bootskin.com If none of these versions are compatible with your system, we apologize, but you will not be able to run BootSkin.

EDIT: Is there a way to recover (the thing under accessory > system tool) with out booting up windows (maybe from the windows xp disk?)?

I had this problem at one point a long time ago. I believe it turned out that the source of the problem were some new SCSI controller drivers that were part of the nVidia chipset driver package that I installed.

When booting to safe mode unless it was more than 3 minutes then you did'nt give it enough time to load the safe mode desktop, yes i'm aware it appears to do nothing & get stuck,in actual fact it's loading into memory, the amount of time it needs depends on the speed of your hdd it can take a while,if you have too give it 5min & see if it comes up,it's bootskin studio that's the prob as it does'nt work with all BIOS's

EDIT:
If safe mode does'nt work then you have a bigger issue than bootskin as it is'nt loaded when using safemode, you may have to use the disk as you mention & attempt a repair, then again if it's been more than a year since last format, i'd do that instead
