Yops, you can play against AI with or without teams(Humans or AI) and so...
You can setup teams as fair or as unfair you like.

So you dont have to force her to play against her own friends/family ;)

Rather than starting new thread, I just wonder one small thing and your opinion. So what do you guys think is main difference betwean Sins of the solar empire and sword of the stars? What game has more to offer, considering all aspects of game?

I have SotS and the X-pack and like them both. The difference between them is like watching a movie made today vs one in the eighties. The game dynamics are completely different as well. For example Sins is fleet oriented & has more of a war gamer focus where SotS is not. I would say it is like Risk vs Strateo. There there is always the graphics...

Is there more diplomatic options in SotS you think?

I am not sure. Diplomatic options in SINS include a trade alliance, bribing, placing bounty on someone's head, declaring war, sharing vision and more :P

well... the Diplomacy in SotS isn't much better than your standard RTS fare... Just from what we've seen in the screenies SoaSE is much more in depth.

no Pause in MP is a travesty ..

For people playing with people they know and pausing is no big deal.

Only (RTS) game i remember that had a pause button is warcraft 3, both players could pause/unpause 3 times, so if the other guy is an ass you wont be able to pause, but seeing as most posters here play with people they know it shouldnt be a problem ... better then nothing right ?

SINS has a pause for both single and multiplayer.  Multiplayers have up to 10 pauses per game.
