WTB Dev Journal

Post says it all. Any chance of you guys dropping an AAr or Dev Journal detailing more of the new features?

Granted, they're not very new, but still.

OMG SHOULD I JUST CREATE A TOPIC CALLED "THERE IS A SEARCH BUTTON!!!" ????

wow...perhaps we missed the "more of the NEW features". Maybe I should create a new post "Learn to read". Thats right I went there!

I want to say it but I won't (I'll sound way-y-y too much like Window).

I'm just getting really sick of all these topics that are already answered. Sorry. Jebus.

Well, given that we're in the last month of development, I imagine the guys at IC / SD are in "crunch mode" working either towards gold or the inevitable "first day its out" patch... and way too busy to do new diaries :(

/cleave-slaps everyone on the thread

he's new to the forum, givem a break.
yes, there are small (somewhat unsatisfying) dev journals out, but I prefer they work incessantly anyway.

I'll put up more once Sins goes gold. I'll tell some of the stories of development and what's ahead :)

So what if it had been asked before. Just ignore the thread instead of posting crap that definately have been posted before. Reading a forum always piss me off. Even if people ask questions to developers there's always a bunch of forum dwellers who take it upon themselves to answer for the developers.

Post an idea and 20 no-names immediately bombard it with a lot of no-saying instead of just letting the person suggest his idea. I could go on and on but I can't be bothered to type anymore on this subject.

While in general I agree with your sentiment, I don't believe that the community answering questions directed at the developers is always a bad thing - after all, the vast majority of those questions do not need a dev to answer (and as some of the long-time forum posters know, have been answered by the dev team previously).

Obviously in this case the first few posters misread the original post and it cascaded...

Thanks Blair, it's good to know you understood what I was asking. I especially would love to see some AAR's for your internal games. I bet there were some epic ones.

what does it mean when sins "goes gold"? is that its release? or (just like if a game goes platanim, million copys sold) is gold when a certain number have been sold?

Gold is the saying coined when the final production disk is given to the publishers to run.

Basically its the master disk that all game disks are made from, however with digital downloads and such these days, Gold is more a declaration that the game has gone into full production, and that any further amendments to code are done post release as patches.

Hope that helps

sad... I thought the CD's we'd be getting were made of solid gold (:(

That would be nice..... But it wouldn't play very well without the Polycarbonate and Phthalocyanine dye surface :)

Plus, when it explodes, I wouldn't want to try to find all the splinters of gold in the CD drive lol
