Desktop manager for large screens

With the advent of larger LCD's (for example, I just got a 24" at work, and it's HUGE), there seems to be a need for an application to control window placement. It would be great to partition the screen (and multiple screens with multi-monitor support) into preset quadrants, and then be able to drop windows into a quadrant. That way, one could easily place, say, a Word document in one half of the screen and an Explorer window in another for research. If this already exists in OD, then my apologies...
