Gadget Problems..

Hey guys,

I'm having a problem when I go to apply one of the Sirus gadgets that MikeB did. Every single one comes up with a message saying "Problem accessing DesktopX Sidebar-framework.", i've tried installing DesktopX and rebooting but it doesn't work. Could it be a compatibility issue with x64?

Here's a pic of what it looks like incase anyones curious:

(the please click here text leads to no where, it dumps me into the main catagories at stardock.com)

This seems to happen with gadgets exported from DesktopX...

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Astyanax0 since this is dealing with a gadget that was made to go with a specific WB I think a PM to MikeB would be the way to go. It maybe a bug that he is not aware of. Just a suggestion.  ;)

I don't really have any clue how DX interacts with the Vista sidebar. I just selected the option when I exported my gadget and let DX worry about the rest. I would expect that all sidebar gadgets created with DX would suffer from the same problem.

Its not just the gadgets for Sirus, as I had originally said others that where DesktopX originally get this error. I have a feeling it doesn't get along with the x64 sidebar.

@MikeB: Yeah I tried a few others to see if this was the case, it is. I had even tried installing DesktopX and rebooting, but that didnt change anything. (:(

Hello!
Yes u can resolve this by make windows 64bit run sidebar 32bit

1- click on the icon of the sidebar beside the clock and go to properties
2- unchek Start Sidebar When Windows Start
3- restart pc
4- go to the folder c:/program files (x86)/windows sidebar/ and click on Sidebar icon
5- click on the icon of the sidebar beside the clock and go to properties
6- chek Start Sidebar When Windows Start
7- restart and apply the Clock

Thats how it worked 4 me ;)
