Vista SP1 RC1 breaks LogonStudio

Seems they went and changed somethin that causes LogonStudio Vista to crash when it loads. Ive tried reinstalling but thats not it. Anyone have any temporary workaround suggestion.

ps.- i dont count "uninstalling SP1" or "uninstalling Vista" a valid suggestion :P

LogonStudio Vista worked fine for me with SP1/RC.
I did have issues with DesktopX gadgets. The fix for those was to turn UAC on and use Tweat Vista to make it stop prompting. Then I had an issue of UAC not allowing me to print to a PDF.
SP1 has too many problems for me so I restored the complete system backup I created prior to the SP1 install. Funny thing, I could not tell if SP1 was any faster, even the benchmarks I ran were close to the same results.

Dump SP1 is my suggestion.

I would like to try this out. 32bit or 64bit Vista?

64bit . . . I hate 64bit.

well its bound to break many things, its not the final product. which is why MS says not to install it on your main computers

I know I'm not complaining, i was just wonderin if anyone managed ta force it ta work. Im removing it right now because the Evaluation Copy watermark wont go the hell away after my attempts at the hacks ppl are postin that supposedly removes it. Any optimizations are hardly noticeable, however my loadup and shutdown times are drastically reduced.

Why remove it if it's working?  As soon as the gold version is released it'll go away?

Call me picky. Its an eye sore to me. My system is fine without it too. And i got LogonStudio functionality back. I can wait patiently for the release version.

If you have your taskbar to "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows", the watermark is always visable. If you uncheck that option in the taskbar properties, it will be behind the taskbar and not visable. Note: After you uncheck the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" check box in the taskbar properties, make sure to refresh your wallpaper to hide the watermark.
