I installed style xp and the trial ran out and the windows theme changed to the classic style , so I right clicked the desktop and changed the theme to the luna theme and when I did that EVERY thing went to black. Everything but the icons so I finally downloaded windowblinds using another profile and found my way around and opened windowblinds. I selected the original luna theme in windowblinds and then uninstalled it but now I cant change my desktop background and when I select another theme in display prop the preview shows a almost all black theme and im afraid that something might mess up again. So how can I get my theme back to normal like it was before I ever installed any thing to mod it? I dont have a windows cd ( it is cracked).


I hope that all made sense.... and sorry for the long post.

That and that StyleXP hack you installed.

I'd format and re-install.

You can re-install Windows with anyone's XP disk (make sure it's the same version) and when it asks for the key, input your's off that 'cracked' CD jacket (unless, of course, you broke the jacket too ;p )

The style xp wasnt a hacked version it was the trial version, but I dont have anybody with a windows cd. I can do everything but change the background, ill search around some more and then if I have to ill buy a new cd.

It's not that the program is a hack per se, it's the fact it 'hacks' or if you prefer 'patches' your uxtheme.dll Windows system file.

Tell you what If you Buy WindowBlinds minim. = $19.95 really would like 2 c u get ODT
I will send you a copy of uxtheme.dll
And NEVER EVER go with styleXP again as for this program is less then 2nd grade Crap-Ware
and is more then likely why your Computer is in bad shape.
Unlike WB's StyleXP deletes and replaces uxtheme.dll which is NEEDED for your PC to run smoothly. As for WB's DOSE NOT DELETE C:\WINDOWS\system32 Files (or any, someone correct me if I am Wrong).

Just kidding ..

Did you by your Computer with XP Home or Pro on it or did you buy XP your self??
If it (XP) came on your PC then you'll have to talk to the manufacture
If you bought it your self then you'll have to tale to Microsoft

but then again if your like me and bought your computer way back then XP came out
you would not have a reinstall Disk it was on a hidden partition on your hard Drive.
Because XP was SOOO good you (the customer) would NEVER have to reinstall..
YELL Right.
But I got them all 7 Reinstall Disk damn HP 6 BS junk disk. 5 years after my Warranty ran out.
