Style XP and WindowBlinds I believe are two different programs. Not really sure why you thought loading WB would help you with your Style XP problem. Did you try going to the Style XP forums for help?

Given your situation and the mess you have facing you the normal suggestion would be to wipe your system clean and reload Windows. Oh, wait a minute, you can't do that!

Well you first mistake is to have a pirated copy of Windows
the second mistake was to install Style XP at all
your third mistake was to reinstall WindowBlinds after your trail ran out. Just Buy it. it is only $20.00 for Windowblinds..

I just can't figure out how:

expired stylexp + cracked windows = a request for Stardock Support... though I'm guessing if shitten789 were to pull enough cash out the ole wallet......

when I said "it is cracked" I ment I have a windows cd its just that it was dropped or something and now the cd has a big crack in it. I have a bought copy of windows. lol
I can even take a picture of the cd if you guys don't belive me.

I read somewhere on the net where someone was having a problem with there skin after there style xp expired and they said to download another xp theme program and select the original xp theme using the program.....

I dont really know what you mean by that but I used my brothers profile to install windowblinds because I couldnt see shit on mine, if you read the post mine was all BLACK as in I couldnt tell shit from crap. You guys sure are bashing on me alot, I can understand the thing about thinking I had a illegal copy of windows(I worded it wrong) but why are you bashing on me about this other stuff?

Okay, I guess you can see how the use of words at times is important.   

Lets talk about WBs. The explaination of what you did leads one to believe you once had a trail version of it and it expired. You then downloaded it again using another profile. Is that correct?

Just about every customizing program does things differently. That's why some folks who use several of them usually find that they run into problems.

Your best bet, and not sure if it will work now, is to contact Style XP explain what happened and see if they can provide some assistance. By downloading WBs you may have gone pass that point though. Lets just say it didn't help. (:( 

You also need to get a replacement Windows CD. Either from Microsoft or if you brought an off the shelve computer, from the maker, (Dell, HP, Gateway). At some point in time you are going to need it. :NOTSURE: 

One last question, if you had WindowBlinds trial before did you not like it? :NOTSURE: 

alright, it's basically cuz we see a lot of posts with people looking for help when using cracked versions of the software.

the statement about downloading using another profile doesn't quite read the same as 'i had to log into my brother's user account to be able to see to download and install...'


put the 'other profile' with "I dont have a windows cd ( it is cracked)." and you can see where we started going with it.

don't sweat it too much. we might flame ya, but most of us are basically friendly while we do it..

ok I found a theme folder in that link posted but I cant change it out because it is in use. how can I get around this?


philly this was my first time using windowblinds. when i selected the luna theme in wb it was like normal, like I never messed with it but I need it to stay that way even after the wb trial expires, I also would like to be able to use all the options in Display Options.

ok I got all the theme files replaced and now the theme and all is back to normal but I still cant change the background in the display options because its grayed out. I dont know what would cause the list of backgrounds, browse button and all to be grayed out....any ideas?

I got no idea.. got no tech skills...

Delete the values "Wallpaper" and "WallPaperStyle" in the right-pane in either or both.

You don't know anything about the Registry? If you don't, that's fine...I'll just give you another way to do it.

ok I dl the link and followed what you said and I also did a scan on my computer and it found a couple trojans and malware it deleted them but I still cant change the background. Think its the malware doing it?
