You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy!

It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.

In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day.  We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire.  The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy.  Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest.  We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...

We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy!

The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.

The past 4 octals of days has seen the most conquest by our warriors in the history of the Empire!  We also surpass every other empire by all overall measures...

Our empire is swiftly approaching a volume of 30 million light years! :grin:

no worries KP. i'll be doing the standard 6 scores of 4d6 dropping the lowest roll each time for abilities, plus one floating re-roll (you can make the substitution after seeing the result of the roll). only significant house rule planned as of yet will be the rules for reducing level adjustments outlined starting on page 18 of Unearthed Arcana. if you draw on rules from other supplimental rule books, let me know (mostly so i can be sure to review the rules myself).

Thanks, I have been playing 1 ZYW  with DevilCat each day, slowly creeping up, and watching the exile depreciate down. :hot:   I think I was right about him, in that soon after he lost the ability to interact with people here, he moved-on.  I wish people had joined me in ignoring him sooner!

KP, it was actually a full ban from what i have understood. I don't recall where Kryo mentioned it but he said that H lost his ability to even submit games, so he coped the the full ban like Wheel and ES.

Can't say i'm sorry to hear that.

Any Kzin warriors with a spare character slot? The Klingon Empire, it's a joint effort with KP and myself at the moment are looking for Klingon themed characters.

It sure would be cool for the Klingons to be #3 on the MV.

I see that he has a number of characters that submitted games as recently as 10/22.  I think that would have been after a ban would have been effected, so I dont know what they actually did to his 4 fake accounts.  Maybe he created fake accounts after the ban, thus circumventing it.

Harbone got an IP ban, so there is nothing to worry about, however his sister Charley B formed her own mepire filled with Harbone's other characters.

I'll try and find the thread and exactly what Kryo said, but his full ban was put into effect after his banning from the forums, he was able to play for a while but then i...assume..Brad stepped in???

Did anyone here about what's happening to EA? There getting a lawsuit cause of the hidden DRM that was included in Spore and is losing 500 employes. I hope that in the near future EA won't be able to continue  it's ownership of Maxis and then hopfully Stardock can buy Maxis so that Will Wright can create games without EA breathing down his back.

Just a day and a half til the US election, which I have been pretty mental about lately.  I cant wait for it to be over!  It's likely the candidate I support (Obama) is going to win, but still its nerve-wracking.   To all you USA citizens out there, dont forget to vote, no matter who you are voting for.  :)   I voted last Thursday, being in one of the states that has early voting.

Remember how I was going to do a campaign run with each and every candidate in TPM08?

I've discovered Carter is pretty damn useless.  Ugh.  I think he's even worse than Grant (the starter on the other side).  I'm having some difficulty beating Reagan with my normal strategies, although in the election previous against whoever that was, I won ALASKA.  I won ALASKA as a Democrat.  Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

But really I need more time for this.  30 candidates * 6 races per campaign * a bare minimum of a half hour perhaps as much as two hours a piece and we're talking anywhere from 90 to 360 hours, which even on the low end is more than one can be expected to devote in a week.

SoleSoul, there was a couple games I played (the early campaign games) where I won every single state.  I cant remember if that was as a Democrat of Republican though.

I've won every state when making an effort to, but Alaska just fell into my lap.  I wound up building an HQ there so as to not waste stamina when I went there to pick up a political opportunity, and my opponent never touched it, so my awareness was virtually maxed out while theirs was <30%.

I'm beginning to think I might be better off playing Carter vs. Reagan without maxing out my stamina.  10 weeks is a long time to be doing almost nothing.  His mediocre fundraising ability isn't helping me any, either.  Lost this last game with 250 electoral votes...and you'll never believe the states I lost.  Vermont, New Hampshire, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, New Mexico, Connecticut, Rhode Island...I was spread too thin.

I'm almost thinking I may have forgotten how to play this game.  :S

EDIT: Crushed Reagan with a slightly different playstyle-landslided him with Carter.  No longer as concerned about the next three guys-it appears I've gotten my groove back, so to speak.  While I did lose Nevada this time, again, I did so while winning, among other things, Alaska, Utah, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Mississippi, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, etc.  362 to 176.

Also managed to do the above while "wasting" the first 10 weeks maxing my stamina.  :)
