Strange problem with window states on Vista

Some apps are killed by ObjectDock, and are unusable

This is a very strange thing, and a heavy error I was unable to correct.
After I installed the free version of OD and drag some icons to the toolbar, some programs started to act very strange. Everything functioned OK before this.
The problem is, that I can not see the main window of the programs. I had this problem with Skype and PsPad editor. If I start Skype, it runs, logs in, everything looks ok except that I don't see the window. If I start it in full screen (maximized in the icon properties) it loads, and the window is there. But as I click on "restore down" to go back to normal view from fullscreen, it just disappears, and can not be get back anymore, only by closing it and startin again maximized.
The programs run in the background and Vista's rollover even shows the contents, but the window itself is not there.

Another strange thing is that on the windows taskbar some functions are missing from the context menu:
As you can see, the Move, Size and Restore menupoints are not there.

Needless to say, I tried to uninstall OD, reinstalled Skype and PsPad, nothing worked. Then I tryed windows restore, to a point before the OD install, and it successfully corrected the issue with PsPad, but my Skype is still messed up. I even installed a new graphics driver, but no help. I run some system analyzers, registry cleaners, but no luck either. I played around with the troubleshooting options in OD, but still nothing. Searched google for a long time, but no results

So I'm out of ideas, and I really dont want to reinstall the whole Vista just for this small thing, but its not cool this way.

I did reinstall ObjectDock btw, and it's working fine, and no new program is affected by this disease.

cheers
JR

If anyone had this problem, or can give me some advice, I'd really appreciate it.

Is this the Plus version or the freeware?

Sorry I also meant to as if you have a 32bit or 64bit Vista install. Also what video card?

However this vaguely resembles an issue that occurred with little regularity a few months ago. I believe this issue was corrected in the latest version of Object Dock. However that version is still in beta and the trial has not been updated with it. If you were contemplating purchasing the product I can assure you (and so will many of the forum users here) that it is well worth the buy.

If you wish though once the beta is added as a full update this fix will be available to you.

I'm sorry that this is a very loose fix but I really don't have a way to test this for you. If there are users of Skype that read this post please PM me should you have the time for a fast experiment.

Thanks for the answers!

32bit Vista Ultimate and Nvidia 8800GTS card with Nforce 169.04beta drivers.
The most irritating thing in this bug(?) is that it persist even after I uninstalled all the affected programs, and tried to clear all remaining registry entries. It seems to have changed something very deep in the system to cause an issue like this.

If there would be any method to undo this, please let me know, I'm not afraid of beta software either if that would help

thx!

Update:

I finally found a solution for this problem:
After uninstalling skype again, I did a new search in the registry, and it seems, that some weird entries were left at the 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\BagMRU' key (wich has something to do with the way Vista displays your files and folders). So I removed all keys with any 'skype' entries, and after the new install Skype finally work correct!

I really hope you guys can (or did allready) fix this issue, because it gave me some very unpleasant hours of headache - not to mention the delay in my actual project

Regards!
