wb6

yet again

recap; thank you all for your help thus far. On wb6 i now have some control of it i can change the wallpaper that have downloaded, i can go through the different sections, no problem, do not get reboot message. However i do get wb6 has stopped working and does not apply any other changes. Anyone got any more suggestions, its not anti-virus or spyware firewall etc, something is definitely stopping it from applying, have contacted tech.support and read the return policy. thank you again.

Open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on View my System info.  Copy/paste that info here.

Just need to open the WindowBlinds Configuration screen and click on the "Copy Text" button at the top right. Then right-click in the message area here and select paste.  That's it.

sorry but can not see where you mean. i click on w/config. and i see a list of things eg. open, delete, copy paste etc. but click on copy and nothing happens also has properties, click on that and you get a row of things which make it a little complicated, nothing is on the right. so not sure what you mean.

Double-click the WindowBlinds icon in your system tray (bottom right) of your desktop. A window will open which will be called "WindowBlinds Configuration". Then click on the tab called "System info" and from the screen that appears click on "Copy Text" button at the top right.

From there right-click in the message area here and select paste.  That's it.

am afraid when i click on copy text all you here is a faint click, and nothing else, does not do anything.

just looked at reply 8 and is the same except times and dates, also different is on line5;mine is the graghics card model no. my base score is 4.3 and the graphics exp. score is 5.4

once you have click this button a copy of the entire page go to your clipboard so you have only to go here and past it by right click and past or just press CRTL+V.

daygo - without seeing your System info we cannot assist you any further and you will need to contact support@stardock.com.  You may have files remaining that were from the trial version you had installed and by posting your WindowBlinds System info we will be able to determine that.

After you click on "Copy Text" button at the top right in the WindowBlinds Configuration screen (and hear the faint click sound) then come back to this forum post and right-click in the message area here and select paste.

i side note:
how to copy past:

open windowblinds go to "system info" (on top)
press the button "copy text"
go back here click on the inputbox (where you write your text) and press the key "CRTL" and the key "V"
then press the button "post reply"

daygo it would appear that you are very new to computing, don't let that discourage you. It's extremely tuff to explain things in a forum and for you to understand what we are talking about. Trust me we all have been there. By chance do you have a friend or know of someone who has some computer experience, if so invite them over, once you are able to see someone actually do what we are trying to explain it all becomes easy.

Whatever you do, don't give up. The computer is just a machine, it's not smarter than you! Come back to this post when you ready.

well guys have done something wrong, cannot install updates at all now message comes up as, must install sdc, file sdczip.dll not found, anyone know what needs to be done.

Well I can see the problem.  That is the Windows XP build of WindowBlinds on Windows Vista.

I would guess that Windows Vista has decided to emulate Windows XP for SDC.  Did it ask if an install worked ok at any point and offer to rerun it with optimal settings?

You will need to uninstall WB, uninstall SDC and then reinstall SDC.

have tried to uninstall, computer will not let me, so please how do you uninstall sdc, so i can re-install, and please step by step, it may be lenghy but it will stop me asking questions. thanks awaiting your reply.

reboot your PC.

Open control panel and remove Stardock central via Programs and features.

Reboot.

reinstall Stardock Central.
