recap; thank you all for your help thus far. On wb6 i now have some control of it i can change the wallpaper that have downloaded, i can go through the different sections, no problem, do not get reboot message. However i do get wb6 has stopped working and does not apply any other changes. Anyone got any more suggestions, its not anti-virus or spyware firewall etc, something is definitely stopping it from applying, have contacted tech.support and read the return policy. thank you again.

If you go into C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral, do you see a install.log file there?

Try copying this into C:\ and then running the above batch file again.

no i do not see such a file, however did try again and message said sdc has stopped working and i had to restart.

In that case it sounds like the SDC install had not gone through successfully. Do you have any other apps installed (that you had installed through SDC)? If so, uninstall these through SDC.

Once done, delete the entire SDCentral folder (after closing out of SDC of course). Go to Start->Start Search and type regedit. Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software

Delete the Stardock key out of both locations.

Download and run the latest installer from http://sd.stardock.com/sdcentral_setup.exe

will not allow me to delete all the keys and subkeys, hope i have not done any thing wrong.

Are you getting any kind of an error message? What kind of priveleges is your account set up with?

You could try logging on as Administrator and deleting the keys from there.

to everyone, have to use computer at work, mine i can not use at moment because get message ie7 script error line 3 and will not let me use my post however it will let me in to the forum, so can still read my replys, ask from work. ps aware now people may not know am on vista home premium, this makes a big difference i think. to reply no. 31 i am the administrator, and what do you mean by privaleges, please explain. can anyone help me with this ie7 error message.

got almost everything working now, thanks everyone, still 1-2 teething problems, like the ie7 script one, it says something not working, cant say because at work and still not letting me post any replys. Still it could be the ie7 problem that has let me install everything with no problem.
