Trial WB Will Not Work In Vista

I am using the Trial version of WB6 on Vista Ultimate. I installed WB and when I try to apply a skin, it would go to Windows Classic theme then back to the default Vista theme and then closes down. I have uninstalled, checked for any left over registry entries, made sure everything was gone, then reinstalled it. Same problem. Here is the summary of system info from WB:
WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.0 (build 49 x86 - Vista Edition) - Shareware
WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC
(Generic PnP Monitor) 1 is attached to NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM)
