WB6 XP explorer crashes on menubar click
Any ideas?
The toolbars work OK, as do IE and application windows. Tried re-installing WB6, but problem remains.
Can anyone help, or should I just revert to V5?
Any ideas?
Have an app running that will crash and from a command prompt run tasklist /M > log.txt
and then open log.txt and find the section for an app which does the crash & post the modules listed for it.
It will look something like this :
calc.exe 9560 ntdll.dll, kernel32.dll, SHELL32.dll,
ADVAPI32.dll, RPCRT4.dll, GDI32.dll,
USER32.dll, msvcrt.dll, SHLWAPI.dll,
ShimEng.dll, AcGenral.DLL, WINMM.dll,
ole32.dll, OLEAUT32.dll, MSACM32.dll,
VERSION.dll, USERENV.dll, UxTheme.dll,
IMM32.DLL, LPK.DLL, USP10.dll, wbsys.dll,
wbhelp.dll, comctl32.dll, rdpsnd.dll,
WINSTA.dll, NETAPI32.dll, PSAPI.DLL,
iprepair.dll, msctfime.ime

silverspider: It sounds like you have XP home?
That tool is not provided with XP home.
Instead please download
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/ProcessesAndThreads/ListDlls.mspx
Then run listdlls > log.txt and e-mail me the log.txt file. My address is my firstname @stardock.com
sypolog: could you also download & run the above app & mail me the results.

Shame it doesnt work for you - i'd hoped it could have been some common ground for Neil to perhaps work from to find the fix.
