I can't turn off skin sounds in WB6

I have tried unchecking the box, applying the changes and it just returns. Since I don't have any sounds for the skins I use, it plays the default system beep every minute. I didn't have this problem in WB 5 and it's driving me nuts!

What sound is playing?  On what event?

It's playing the XP system default beep. There are no events associated with the sound, it just beeps every minute like clockwork. The only way I found to turn it off was to set the default sound to "None" in Control Panel.

Something is beeping.  Something not WB.    Skinsounds only make a sound when you do something (like click a button).

Have you switched skins?  Unloaded WB?  Rebooted?

I switched skins, but I haven't tried to unload WB and reboot. I'll give that a try next. Thanks.
