Backup/Archive Issues

Frustrated

Good day folks

While I realize that part of this question has been asked in the past and successfully responded to in the past (I did do a search and read through all the posts I could) but unfortunately, it only answered the primary issue (backing up).

My subscription to Object Desktop expired. Because I am a "Starving Student" I have not yet renewed my subscription (I shall be doing so once I receive my student loan). Unfortunately, my only physical copy of OD is my original purchase CD, leaving me with an ancient edition of OD. Did I forget to mention that I am trying to transfer to a new PC as the original PC has developed issues.

From Stardock Central I try to archive both the application and the app & Skins. In both cases I see the message that achive has failed and SC crashed to the desktop.

Can anyone please suggest a method of backing up my Object Desktop files on the dying computer and reinstall OD to the current version on my new system. Or am I simply screwed, and have to wait until I can buy the package again?

Thanks folks

can you archive the application without the skins?

Windowblinds was the only one that wouldn't work for me when trying to archive the app and skins. You could just archive the app then backup the skins folder to cd or something, worked for me.

DW,

If you e-mail us at support@stardock.com we can send you a Archive file from the date your subscription ended. You download the file then perform a Restore on SDC.
