Multiplicity vs Multiplicity PRO

Which do I choose?

Hey!

I've tested multiplicity trial version and I dig it. I'm going to buy it. But beforehand I want to know why would I choose Multiplicity PRO over the regular version? Whats the extra features?

A comparison chart

"Copy files/folders between machines" is worth the price of admission alone.

Honestly, we don't sell many standard licenses.  A lot of the ones that we do, end up calling us and upgrading to Pro.  The copy and paste and the ability to add more computers really makes it worth the money.  Heck- who am I kidding?  Like Zubaz said, the copy and paste between machines is easily worth the extra $20.

There were a few other questions about some strange configs so I thought I would mention it here as well.

If you want a large grid of monitors (like 2 up and 3 across for a total of 6) it is best to set them up with three total computers with the monitors stacked in the windows settings. For those that have paid for powerful video cards or massive extensions please give Multi pro a shot and let another computer do all the work.

This might have been a little off topic but support has been getting more and more questions like this so I thought to make it more public the advantage of Multi Pro.

mm.. yea, and you don't even have to have powerful secondary if it's mainly the extra monitors you want.

Personally, I use Multiplicity Standard and I find that it suits my needs quite well. I didn't spend the extra money for Pro because I couldn't justify the extra $20 for file sharing and up to six computers support (because I didn't need to support six machines).

I wouldn't mind the extra functionality of file sharing without six PC support (sure beats shares and permissions which is how I currently do it) and would have gladly paid an extra $10 for Multiplicity with this functionality.
Maybe Stardock could create a "Plus" licence, which supports file sharing but not six PC support.

Don't forget one of my favorite features -- the Grid Setup dialog:

ooh,intuitive!

This not only allows you to simply drag and drop machines, you can additionally set up your machines in a completely arbitrary fashion, to whatever suits your setup (or how you would like machine transitions to behave).
