Any need to update?

Is there really any need to update beyond the 1.4 version if you are just playing Dread Lords without the expansion? Also is there a complete change log from the original 1.0? Sorry for all the questions, its been over year since I last played.

The update to 1.5 includes updates to Movies, Tutorial, and Heightmaps which help speedup planet graphics in the game. so, yes, the recent 1.5 update is worth it.
