Download latest version?

I just got a new home PC.

I installed GalCiv2 from the CD's I bought a while back. I'd like to download the latest patch (but not the expansion - yet), and install it.

I have dial-up at home, so I'd rather not download it there. Is there a way to get the patch downloaded to my laptop at work and then take it home and install it on my home PC?

Sure, use SDC on your laptop. Download and archive the game. Move the archive to your desktop. Install SDC on your desktop and use SDC to install the archive.

1.4X is available in the downloads section of this site.

1.5 (via SDC) has only a few minimal changes from 1.4x (and mainly for DA support), so you could also download 1.4X and burn it to cd or usb drive to transfer it.
