Context menus unreadable

I've skinned with Purpel rain and it looks great but my context menus are all black and white rather dull looking but I'll live with it, but there are a couple of menus where I can't see anything. Also I've tried overriding the sounds that come with the skin, I don't like gunshots everytime I close a window, but the sounds won't be overrode by the commands in the windowblinds control. Any help would be appreciated, particulrly in the context menu thing I have to be able to see them.
