Iconian Refuge - Devs please answer this time

Hi together,
i post this the third time but never got an answer.
Iconian Refuge means to be "a highly inventive and proud race". But instead of being inventive the qick stength/weak stats means "+Good Espionage" and "-Weak Research Skills"(?!)
In fact they don't get any bonus or malus in research. They have +50 espionage, +20 morale and 7 points left.
Compare this with krynn: +50 espionage, +50 morale and 9 points left. In adition +10 econ, +50 def, +25 diplomacy, +25 loyality.
So the krynn are better in all stats. Maybe the iconian starting planet is better but it can't compensate the major stat disadvantage.
I think the +50 espionage of the iconians shoul dbe something like +20% reseach bonus. Shouldn't the iconian a research race?
