Windows Blinds has messed up my fonts!

Hello, I don't know what happened, I just simply uninstalled Windows Blinds and after I rebooted my computer, now my font looks like if it was on BOLD.
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
I tried resintalling Windows Blinds, but still it won't help..

The uninstall procedure was from ControlPanel --->then chose Automatic.

Probably I need to move something in the registy?
Plz help

Thanks for your time!

The key thing is to switch to Windows Classic before uninstalling WB. Simplest thing may be to reinstall WB once more, switch to Windows Classic in WB's Configuration dialog, reboot & set the fonts the way you want them using Display Properties, then uninstall WB again. Post back if that doesn't square you away. Also, using Stardock Central as the installer/uninstaller may be less likely to leave detritus on your system after the uninstall, as opposed to the Add/Remove Programs CP applet. After all that, can run a reg cleaner if you wish.

What happens if you open the display properties dialog and apply the Luna theme from the 'Themes' tab there? You may also be able to revert to defaults through the 'Appearance' tab.

Had anything happened when you tried using Daiwa's suggestion?

These particular settings aren't saved in the registry and for the settings that are, they're very consolidated HKLM\Software\Stardock and HKCU\Software\Stardock

Google "TweakNow Registry Cleaner". It is a straightforward, safe and simple to use registry cleaner that is free to download.

Hope you can get things squared away.

Listen to #4.

Most probably it is a themes or appearance setting.

And : Not every single problem with computers can be solved by registry cleaning. Sometimes a solution is just one or 2 clicks away and lies in the right selection of a combobox. Sorry, couldn't resist.

In same area of display(appearance tab)...
Sometimes just moving the slider under " Font Size " from Normal to Large - then back to Normal again then click " Apply" and "Ok" will reset the font and bold will be gone.

sometimes its: normal to large then apply, then large back to normal and apply

sometimes it's clicking the 'bold' and turning it off.

yup, of course..thats the first thing i checked guys, but actually its showing me the correct windows default font.. (Tahoma 8pt: without bold or Italic option ON).

If I change to any other theme, it would appear like if it were on bold..but the size is normal and its set up as: 96DPI.

Oh well, ill format my harddrive, thats probably the best solution to all of this.

Thanks guys,

if you font is tahoma - try removing tahoma bold from the font folder

Not that it's much of a solution, but I don't think Windows will even let you remove it, as it's one of the system core fonts (same with Arial). I tried it once when I was playing around with smoothing individual fonts (before I gave up and used cleartype, waited way too long to do that).

I did a of Formatting with stardock installed. Never ever will buy again. STYLE X.P RULES.

yes style XP is designed for a childish attitude. grow up
why not admit that you couldn't use WB properly and obviously don't have the cranial capacity to figure it out. ever stop to think that it may be your incompitance and not the prgram that may be causing these issues?. oh well go back to style XP and keep your whinging attitude and brainless dross out of these forums, we are better off without you

It is always a rash and quick decision to make. The which is never a good one. It leaves you with what you believe is the best result. But do you really see it that way? Time will tell and if you are truly doing the right thing.
If you have already reformated your install and are willing to give Stardock another chance at giving the best windows experience you've had with graphics. That and want some help with your best possibles at getting what will work in a proper manner. Then contact me at my email address and I'll do my best to get you started off on the best foot forward.
I do not feel you will be completely happy with style xp or any other windows graphics design program to build your desktop. But we all here wish you luck and hope you come back and find better things the next time.
