Super Abilities questions

I can see what the super abilities of the various races do when they are AI controlled, but I was looking for some clarification:

Altarians - when playing them and you are attacked, does their Super Organizer ability cause other AI civs to immediately declare war on your attacker? Any other info about this super ability?

Arceans - does the first strike ability apply to each round of firing or just the very first shot in a battle?

Drengin - what exactly does Super Dominator do? It says you can extort money easier, so does this mean if you make demands on other civs they are more likely to agree? What does the "minions aid in your attacks" actually do?

Korath - when you Spore Ship a colony I know it turns it toxic and under your control...does it have zero population and if so does it ever grow automatically or do you need to transfer population there to make the pop grow?

Yor - what is the speed penalty in their sphere of influence? Is it a set number or a minus to your speed?

Thanks in advance for the answers!

Altarians Super Organizer - yes. All other civs that share your alignment (note, they don't need Xeno Ethics, just to be leaning your direction) will automatically decalre war on anyone who declares war on you. They will do this no matter how recently you traded with them, and they will break treaties and alliances to follow this rule.

Arceans Super Warrior - only the first round of combat. Build fleets with huge attack numbers.

Drengin Super Dominator - this ability is a waste of time and can slow down lower end machines. It will give the player a few attack 2 small hull ships based on your attack rating when you start a war. This happens even when someone declares war on you, or if you decalre war on them. With a decent weapons boost, the super dominator corvettes can go to attack 3 or 4, but they have a base stat of 2. And you have to pay upkeep for them. You can get hundreds of these for free depending on the game condition - which is why it can be harder on lower end machines, but all of those ships are essentially worthless.

Korath Super Annihilator - yes, it has zero population. If you do nothing, it will go to a population of 5 million on the next turn, and breed from there.

Yor Super Isolationist - it isn't a speed penalty, speeds of all non-Yor ships are set to 3. There is currently a bug if you take Super Isolationist with a custom race, it will also limit your ships to 3, so only use it as the Yor. It is not a set number minus your speed. However, you have to start the turn in Yor influence for the effect to take hold. on the turn ships move into Yor influence, they still get their full move. Consequently, the best way to fight the Yor is to mass fast ships on their borders just outside their influence, and then attack and take planets to destroy their influence as you advance.

Hope that helps.

Not totally useless, since you can decommission them for I don't remember how much (must be 10~20 each), so it gives you a nice cash boost at the start of a war. (I never saw the computer do that thought.)

Hmm, I didn't know that. I was playing a custom race with the Super Isolationist trait and never even noticed. Has that been fixed in the 1.6 patch?

As Belano said, I can't confirm this.
Custom race with Super Isolationist (+1 speed bonus from abilities) is my preferred pick so far and I'm having no problems with it.
On my usual medium maps it's not that crucial, but still I like having the "safety" of being able to outfly any ships in my area of reach and/or to build cheap defenders (no engines) which fly as fast or faster than any intruder.

I started to like it when I played against the Yor and hated it. very much.

Hi!
Drengin Super Dominator - this ability is a waste of time

Not in small very-slow-tech games. Those free corvetes are still dangerous in a third year of my game. Drengin kept throwing them at altarians' small/medium hulls with 15-25 missile attack, no defenses, and slowly grinded them down.

What about extortig money? Anybody tried it? Is it easier, or is tailored to diplomatic ability?

Might as well give you the money right away then,    better for the AI too.

Well, it should be useful in any circumstance.

The Drengin are supposed to have Weak Diplo...
