thank you

Hiya,

A week ago or so I bought GalCivII more by chance than on purpose. But the last week has (to some extend ) changed my life.

For many many years MOO2 was THE strategy game for me, nothing came even close to it.
I then followed the progress on GalCiv1 for some time and got it when it came out. I was severly disappointed by it and after this experience didn't put much hope into GalCivII, didnt even follow its progress, and pretty much forgot avout it. I took out MOO2 whenever I wanted to play a strategy game.

I never got the hang of realtime strategy games, the Civilization series (and whatever else) also never really fascinated me. I played one or another game, but usually lost interest in it quickly...and came back to MOO2 always.

Alright, after playing GalCiv2 for a week now -no, actually already after the first day - I knew this will change. I even find myself not logging into my most favourite online game anymore in order to play Galciv2 and looking forward during the workday to the evening, when the children are sleeping and I can play it

So thank you for a great game, this was exactly what I was looking for all the years. And I'm sorry that I completly ignored its development for such a long time and only bought it because I've seen it by chance as a special sales offer

Feel free to partake in the metaverse It's sort of an online-scoreboard where you can join/create empires and compete with teams. Really the metaverse thing to me is just a role-playing kinda adventure. It's all about the fun you get from your games, but while we're at it ... why not post the scores and learn how well you'r doing?

Oh and Dark Avatar is a must! [The Expansion pack]

Ah, yes - welcome to the Stardock Sleep Deprivation Club! Just wait until you try to use Tidal Disruptors on your drive home!

thanks for the nice welcome and let me use this thread for a question right away.

I'm sure, I'm just not seeing the obvious, but: how do I register the game?

I admit I rarely register games/software, only if absolutely necessary, but for this game it's probably worth it and I do need it.

I installed it, downloaded the patch etc and it's working fine, but: in German -and after the patching- in quite some mixture of languages which is somewhat annoying (even though I've seen games that were MUCH worse translated)
Anyway: I want to follow some advises I found here in the forum: to uninstall the game and then Download it again via SDC to have a pue english version

But I guess for this I should have registered the game.

I know I entered the serial number once when I installed the game, but to test if its already regisrtered I used the service to send my serial number to me via email but it wasn't in the email and it was written that if there is no serial number in it, theres no registered software connected to my account.

Alright, to make this short: how exactly do I register the program now, I haven't fund any option for this in the game or at the startwindow that opens and I also haven't seen any obvious link to some register page on stardock or galciv2-page.

thanks in advance if somebody can direct me to the solution

If you click on the purchase button, at the very bottom is a link that you can use to register.

Btw don't think too hard about the language thing, You're lucky us Europeans have been noticed let alone spell checked for, We apparently speak the same language and I still get a red line under words like colour. "see". , I wish it was that simple.

Marcus.
