Hiya,
A week ago or so I bought GalCivII more by chance than on purpose. But the last week has (to some extend
) changed my life.
For many many years MOO2 was THE strategy game for me, nothing came even close to it.
I then followed the progress on GalCiv1 for some time and got it when it came out. I was severly disappointed by it and after this experience didn't put much hope into GalCivII, didnt even follow its progress, and pretty much forgot avout it. I took out MOO2 whenever I wanted to play a strategy game.
I never got the hang of realtime strategy games, the Civilization series (and whatever else) also never really fascinated me. I played one or another game, but usually lost interest in it quickly...and came back to MOO2 always.
Alright, after playing GalCiv2 for a week now -no, actually already after the first day - I knew this will change. I even find myself not logging into my most favourite online game anymore in order to play Galciv2 and looking forward during the workday to the evening, when the children are sleeping and I can play it
So thank you for a great game, this was exactly what I was looking for all the years. And I'm sorry that I completly ignored its development for such a long time and only bought it because I've seen it by chance as a special sales offer

It's sort of an online-scoreboard where you can join/create empires and compete with teams. Really the metaverse thing to me is just a role-playing kinda adventure. It's all about the fun you get from your games, but while we're at it ... why not post the scores and learn how well you'r doing?
