Object Dock prpblem

Hmm..kind of interesting how a post in the forums can disappear when you ask for help...hmm

I'm having a prob with object dock. When I am working in an app like photoshop, if I get the cursor anywhere near the bottom of the screen, the object dock pops up thru the app and blocks what I am trying to do until I click on another part of the screen to force the dock back down below the app..like it was a layer thing that can't stay on the desktop. I have it floating about an inch above the bottom of the monitor screen (20 inch screen, res about 1152x864. Any help on stopping the dock from popping up thru whatever app I'm using would be appreciated.

That looks like the free version. I don't have it but I'll see if I can help.

If you have it floating an inch above the bottom it will come up as soon as your cursor crosses that line. If you don't want it to come up then set it to the bottom and change the z order to normal or bottom.

Also to note that many people are posting in other threads and unfortunately others get moved to the bottom, its not intentional, if that happens just reply in the thread using the word bump...to bump it up near the top again. This site is customers helping customers and we do enjoy it, help us by bumping your post up if it is missed

Something else that you can do as well if available in the free version is to set under positioning the delay for autohide & mouse activation

I have the windows bar set to hide so it would conflict with the object dock one if I set it to the bottom....just that while I'm in an app, getting the cursor near the bottom of the app will trigger this thing to float in over the app from its place underneath..on the desktop itself.

He didn't mean actually moving the dock from its position...what he is talking about is how the dock acts....always on top= stays on top of windows...normal=desktop level activated by mouse...or bottom = staying under all windows....not technical terms by any means This is also why I suggested setting the delay long for mouse activation...stopping it from popping up anytime your mouse go nears it, yet keeping it where you want the dock on your desktop.

I hope I said that clearly.. ...if not ask again...more than happy to help

The post may have gottten lost when i moved it from ObjectBar and into ObjectDocks.

No problems here

Tha attitude of the original poster . . that kind of hurts.  Art Tist had posted with bad information, lack of responses to questions, screenshot that were near worthless but still kept getting help. . . and then we were accused of hiding the problem.

I'd suggest to anyone who has posts they care about to click the Tool | Watch this post.  That wasy 1) you are notified via email when it's updated (with a link) and 2) you can find it if you created it in the wrong place and someone tries to help you out by putting it in the right place so it gets more focus by the people that know THAT app best.

Atr Tist, I've got some hurt feelings, but no hard feelings, OK?
