Can not find galciv/mods folder......

no mods

i just bought galciv a few weeks ago, and today i decided to try some mods.
i downloaded babelon five total conversion mod, but i couldn't find the folder where mods are supposed to go!
i had had the demo installed so uninstalled the game, and then reinstalled it, and then restarted my computer.
still no affect!'
i even tryed creating the folder myself, nothing....
ingame in the options menu, it says the defualt path is
C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Data\Mods\default
but i can not find the Mods\default part.

hope this was posted in the right spot and everything.
thanks ~DR

Hve you upgraded your game from stardock?

early versions of the game did not seem to use the mods folder. You are correct that it should be in the directory you list although \defualt is the name of a mod you would go to options and pick the B5 mod then restart and it should work.

first, make sure to update to the newest version of GC2 through SDC.

second, if you still don't see the folder, go to game options and click "use mods".

the game will automatically create the appropriate folders if they aren't there already.

after that, you'll need to start again and select the folder for the Babylon 5 mod. then you'll need to restart again. still slightly cumbersome, but also much easier for modding than most games.

C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\DarkAvatar\Data\Mods\default

Unless it changed for DA, the Mods folder is located under the main folder - not the Data folder (C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming\GalCiv2\Mods for DL).
