ctrl-N no longer works ?

When I try to use ctrl-n to set up a new game, the whole computer locks up.
Is this normal, or do I have a problem?

I can get out of it using ctrl-alt=del, but it takes several attempts.

It really shouldn't be doing that to you. Besides, going all the way back to the main menu to start a new game and going through all that and then wait for it to load for 5 minutes is too long for me.

I use ctrl N just fine. it just takes a couple of minutes for the new game to load up. Try waiting a couple of minutes because it will seem like the program locks up or the task manager will say its not responding, but its just because its really busy.

If it still doesn't work, then post a debug err.

Thanks.
I needed reassuring.
I was too impatient. It does work.

It has been a year since I played the game. The medals etc. are misleading, I inherited them.

Sorry about the double post...same excuse.

"wait for it to load for 5 minutes" ? What are your specs? Mine loads in about 10 seconds...well, maybe 11.

The reset is working, for whatever reason it takes a bit of time to do it, so if you really don't like the initial set up and have to control-N a few times, its going to take a while...a LONG while.

Sorry 'bout the sarcasm. Just gloating 'cause I've been there many times.
