What to Players want?

I'm working on a mod for Galciv, but I'm stopping to wonder what do players actually want? I'm asking this in the mod forum as people here know what is and isn't possible with the engine. As a player, what do you guys want in a mod? New opponets? Rearranged Tech tree? Good backstory?

With the limited ability to alter gameplay, what would you like to see different?

1) starbase defences would be nice, what's that you say? there are starbase defences already? ah is that what those funny little things are suposed to be??

2) Dreadlords more powerful, can colonise and can spawn like the peacekeeper mega event except with colonies.

3) i would like to see some super hull technology which would be prerequisited by some high end weapon technology. Just to have somthing awesome to look forward to late game.

I believe someone (probably kryo) posted about that sort of tech tree idea, if you were thinking of doing it as a tech that required two others before it. Whoever it was said that it might not work, so if you were to do something like that you might have to pick which tech tree branch you added it too

I would like to see the dread-lords be an actual super race as well, though it is hard to tell if this is possible or might unbalance the game

I'd want more custom evil weapons and more custom good weapons (Telepathic Defense, Psionic Beam, ect.)

Also, I'd want a better Super Dominator effect.
