Whatever happened to Epic Story??

Hey, I was wondering where is the story Epic mode? I thought this game had it and was an influence in getting it. I beat a sandbox mode and there was no story on how I won. Was it taken out during production?

Yes, the epic story generator was dropped midway through production, as it turned out to be much more difficult to make it work properly than the devs had hoped. They do plan to revisit it at some point in the future though, since a lot of work did go into it.

Good that there is a plan to go back to it someday. Was going to get DA anyway but it was one of the biggest things I wanted. I like to have stories. Guess for now I'll still be writing it out by hand and typing it up after I play

That bites. Hopefully it will be added in an update or another expansion pack because I have to say that that story mode would have been great. Nice try though. Let me know when they add it please.

there the Epic Story goes,   whit one of my reasons to buy the expansion. gah i will buy it sooner or later anyway.

Ya, I was really looking forward to the epic story, it was one of the main reasons I was gona use to get DA. Now it's just going to be for the ability to customise the races alot an maybe the epic events.

I looked at the priview for DA on Stardock Central just 2 weeks ago and it was still in there. I was wondering about it after I read IGN's review and did not see a mention of it.

Would it be possible to use what you have to take screenshots at key events with a brief log of what that event was, and let the players fill in the epic?
