Best Vista Skin

Hey guys

I just love windowsblinds. And my xp already starts looking like vista () But sofar I only could find 2 vista skins - arrow and vista 2.4. Anyone knows of more??

The search field here is on the top right corner of the page on the menu bar. First go to the Windowblinds gallery then type your keyword(s) (in this case vista) into it and click the little magnifying glass.

Just pitch in $400 like I did and buy Vista! The theme for the REAL Vista is better than you can get with Windows Blinds(I'm not saying WindowsBlinds sucks, it rules by any means).

Hey, if you're interested in a nice theme which is Vista looking (except for the blue Start bar which is orange). why not download the Zune theme from microsoft.com. Just a thought!   Then there is a vista start page that can be downbloaded as well.

The start menu search bar wouldn't work because that is a feature of Vista, not WindowBlinds.

To actually download from them, you don't need anything extra. Once you have the file, of course, you might need Windowblinds to install it if it's a wba skin.

The download button on deviantart might not be obvious to you at first. So, here is a sample picture where I circled where the button is.



If you sometimes get a black screen with advertisement, just look toward the top right, where you can click to continue. You'll get that advertisement screen every so often if you are not a registered user at deviantart.

Also, in some cases, the download button won't be there, but then in the text area with "author's comments" there might be a separate link to download.

Ok.. Vistas out... when does this ridiculous Vista frenzy on on XP end? "Hey, how bout a Vista version of the Vista Wallpaper versioned for very few visitors". It all makes me wanna evacuate in the vicinity, and (urlp...) here comes my lunch....

Well I use the Vista Transformation Pack first of all that makes everything appear to be vista. Progress bar, login screen, bootup screen, icons, ect. Than you can use any DesktopX theme to finish it off. Only recommendation after running Styler once to change the rest of the items disable it permantly you won't be needing it.. It's for those without DesktopX.

Now if you want Flip3D effect than install Topdesk it only costs $10 and you can than have the closes thing to the Flip3D that Vista has. And their is many Vista look alike Sidebars that don't use too much resources I am currently running the actual Vista Sidebar ported over to XP but only when I want to play with it because the original version eats over 55MB of memory to run. So the others are much smaller in resource useage and can be toggled in view or not unlike the original Vista Sidebar. Pretty sad state affairs when clones work better than the original

Now asides that which skin do you think is the most original Vista skin that you recommended above? I'm wondering how it compares to the one that comes with the Transformation Pack.

2.4 i'm afraid is the best out there so far.
But i suggest you use topdesk so you can do flip3D,
and use a ported sidebar.

Good one Fuzzy...best Vista skin is one that dosnt look like Veeesta.
