Weapons not appearing

Wher have all the Mass Drivers gone?

Hello there!

I'm just playing a Challenging game as the Yor Collective, and through clever negotiation was able to get all Mass Drivers from Theory to MiniBalls II. However, whereas the other weapons (those I researched myself) appeared on the Ship Design screen, those Mass Drivers are still not there (only the basic railguns). Is this a bug or a feature?

Are you running the latest version of the game? (1.4x) If not, pick up the patch from the downloads link on the left side of the page.

Bear in mind that the Railguns ARE from the miniball research. Unlike the later versions of mass drivers where the name of the research matches the name of the weapon.

I searched for a topic on this and I'm having the same problem. I traded for Mass Drivers all the way up to HD driver 4, and I don't see anything higher than nano ripper on the shipyard.

Anyways I have the Gal Civ 2 Gold Edition Dark Avatar game. version 1.5 at bottom left screen. Anyone know what the problem is?
