Changing the colour of the UI

Is it possible to do this? If so, how is it done? I have DesktopX installed and have had a look at the .dxpacks but haven't found anyway to change the colours.

I know it can be done, as in DA the UI is red. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance, Macmatt.

you can unzip the dxpack, and change the colors of the png-files, which represent the UI.

then you open the normal UI (dxpack) and swap the textures, by this way it should be possible for you to change the color, but it needs some time =o)

I'll see if I can corner the devs this morning, but it looks to me as if the colors are set in the game itself. I'm not sure what effect (if any) colorizing the images in the dxpacks from their normal white/grey state would have, if any.

YOu can change the color of the UI in the custom civilization settings.  Just go to the appearance tab when creating a civ and choose what color you want the UI to be.

I believe he meant the options menu, galaxy setup, etc., colors, rather than the in-game UI colors.

I'm not sure which he meant.

Cari says you should be able to simply colorize the images manually, you just have to set tinting to 0 (disabled) in the color section of each part's properties.
