HELP: MSN Messenger chat windows

Does anyone have this issue?  I am using MSN Windows Live Messenger.  Whenever someone initiates a chat with me, the chat window starts up minimized.  So, if I have my sound turned off, and am not looking at my running tasks dock, or if I am not at my machine at the moment they start a chat, then I usually don't notice it.  Really annoying!  Of course, OD+ has always done it since I bought it back towards the beginning of the year, and now I have the latest (updated last week or the week before).
