WindowBlinds wont skin Yahoo Messenger!

Hello,

I am not able to skin yahoo messenger since I upgraded to WindowBlinds 5.1. I bought windowblinds a a month ago and installed it on a freash install of windows. It worked then with 5.0 but now it wont.

I have seen the post about yahoo crashing went started because of windowblinds and have experianced it, but now it does not crash anymore. It stopped crashing BEFORE 5.1 was installed and was skinned.

If I change the skin that is installed with yahoo, (yes it comes with its own skins) they work. But if i change it to classic eg luna it goes to windows classic mode but with a differnt colour similer to the windowblinds skin been applyed. It USED to take the windowblinds skin when the classic skin (yahoo)was used but now it doesnt now.

If you look at the screen shot below, you can see that in the Winfx task bar preview the skin (windowblinds) is being used but not on the yahoo messenger app.

Here are my WindowBlinds details:

Another problem I have been having is that sometimes when i start apps they arent skinned but the if i resize them it become skined. Irfanview is quite bad for this.

A reply by Neil from a post a while back (I'm guessing yahoo's at it again):

A long time ago we modified WB to ignore certain parts of Yahoo messenger due to their skinning messing with WB dlls in memory. This worked ok until yahoo decided to change their filenames.

The beta releases of WB know about this new filename and all works ok again.

If you exclude the process from WB then it will work perfectly. Make sure you excluded the right exe.

Personally I am annoyed with Yahoo for randomly changing their filenames especially when they have been made aware of the conflict in the past and have the ability to prevent the conflict at their end.

try adding to exclude

Stardock should list the apps that wont work with windowblinds on the app page so people know what they can and cant skin.

WB skins using the Microsoft standards. Stardock should not be responsible to list every app that does not use the MS skinning engine.

But when you set yahoo to classic it uses the windows skinning engine. Plus it worked a week ago.
