Windowblinds and Wallpaper Changing

Hello friends...

I wrote a message over a month ago about the wallpaper changer feature not working in Windowblinds.  Well, it still does not appear to be working in the latest build of WB.  The only option that does work is the change at login... but, it does not work on the hourly option.  Does anybody have any ideas?  Thanks for the help!

Listed below is the system info from WB:

It didn't work, but then again I also updated WB after I checked the option.

Hmmm... still no answer... just like the last time I posted this issue. I was hoping someone on here could give me an answer because I've not received any help when requesting help from Stardock. Oh well, not a huge issue. But, I would love to have had it working.

do you have use wall supplied checked or unchecked?
is the wall you are using one of the ones you selected for the change?

just curious, I noticed: I had selected 4 walls to rotate on the hour - then I decided to update WB - by the time I updated and rebooted, my 1st hour had passed... but on the reboot I saw one of the walls I had selected when it was loading, then it went back to the wall I had up originally (not one of the four and not in WB list).

I was using a jpg, and I've noticed sometimes my walls hang or don't change when using Natural Desktop and I have to manually go in and apply the skin ND says should be showing to get it to start ND's cycling. Didn't get a chance last night (and not at home yet) to apply one of the walls I selected for WB to cycle and then see if it will.

I do not have the wallpaper supplied with blind checked. Should I? Haven't tried that option because I do not want to use the wallpaper supplied with most blinds.

If you have a problem with an application feature your best bet is to contact support@stardock.com to get an "official" response.

Beats me.

got home.
trying again.
set a pic from the first wall option in WB config - checked that I still have 4 for cycle

right clicked desktop and checked properties - wall selected was shown as ownerwall2 instead of wall name - went into WB wall folder and selected from there (one that was in my list of 4) - name showed in properties correctly

changer set to cycle in sequence (never know, random could make it pick the same wall everytime)

just notice the wall showing now, is the 2nd in sequence - too close to an hour to change. what if it changes to the 2nd in the sequence which is the wall now showing? how will I know?

hey Hankers.

On wscwebyoda's other post, Neil popped in and asked some particulars but never came back

Logic tells me that would override the change function

I don't think it's working for me either... so I bumped the other post.

Bichur and all... so far, I've tried every possible option to get the wallpaper changer to work and still nothing. The only time that it works is when I'm logging into the computer... the wall change then... even though I have it set to change every hour.

By the way, for the person that suggested earlier to contact stardock support... I already have and have not received a response. Not to the request that I sent in September nor the one from this week.

Go to https://www.stardock.helpserve.com

If a case was created for you (which happens automatically when you send email) you should see it here and be able to update it.

If you did not get a automatic response to your original email, the email monsters ate it. Create a new case at the address above and it will be reviewed.

I keep getting a flash of one of the walls selected when I log in, but then it reverts back to what I had.

Was trying 'no wall' to start then see if it changed, this morning, but I had to go to work.

Haven't tried picking some walls, then double clicking one of those to see if it will apply from that section.

No retreat.
No surrender.

Hmmmm... still no response to my requests. Someone said that maybe it had to do with Friday the 13th... don't think so! Instead, it is something that continues to make me mad. I've reported the issue multiple times and in multiple ways... yet, no answers like all the other questions I've asked from support in the past. Guess its time not to renew my ObjectDesktop subscription.

Has anybody had any luck with getting the hourly wallpaper change feature to work? Or, is everyone else having the same issue?

We are currently looking into why this appears to be happening and once we find out why we will update 5.1.

Can you confirm that every other wallpaper change option works for you?

I've been able to confirm that the wallpaper change options that work are:

1. At login
2. On Monday morning

Can not confirm the option for hourly, nor in the morning. Neither one appears to be working.

I've started to worry but it looks like I'm not the only one. My wallpaper changer set to change every hour also doesn't work

I haven't had a chance yet myself.
I'll give a couple of the option a try later tonight.

It definitely works with "Change my wallpaper every time I logon", didn't have a chance to check any other options.

Well, this will be interesting. I received acknowledgment from Stardock support yesterday evening about my technical issue with the wallpaper changing feature. Hopefully, they will find the trouble and get it fixed! But, amidst the long delays in hearing anything back, my OD subscription will have expired today, which obviously means I do not get the updated fixes they make to Windowblinds without renewing??? I hope not! Because, I would like to have the updated product as proof of why I should go ahead and renew.
I would hope that there would be more reason to renew your OD subscription than just a fix for the wall changer feature in WindowBlinds.

how were you set up Fuzzy?

WB not checked to use wall supplied?
did you start with a wall no in the change list?

things like that...

WB not using wall supplied. Wall set initially by WB (choosing a wall by other methods over-ride WB). Other config as below:

I've changed wall since then (not in WB) and that has stopped it changing
