Two Words "COUNTER INTELLIGENCE"

Hell we already have counter intelligence in real life why not in a game. I don't know about anyone else but I am sick of seeing my tech goto the baddies. I know that you can't take it out completely, but you could if you add a button to stop that stuff. Also to give a spending couter pool like you have for spending to get from others. It would make the game allot more in depth that would just add to the already terrific game play. And maybe even having a screen shot where you can see your guys giving that traitor or alien an very very very hard time (A kick in the groin!). Joking.

I'm just the opposite - I wish to God I could stop stealing techs from the other factions, or at least get some kind of control over the process. I can't count the number of times my halfwit spies have burgled Industrial Centers, throwing my entire production schedule straight out the window and forcing emergency micromanagement of my whole empire, planet by planet.

Agree, sometimes tech stealing can be a hinderance. Wish I could shut it off.

Or that you could pick the area it came from. I remember the origional Master of Orion, you got to pick the field it came from (unless there were only weapon techs et al that you didn't have) and it would give you a random tech from there.

And for Counter-Intelligence there could be a security slider. THe higher it is the longer it takes for someone to infiltrate you to higher ranks, with even the possibility that they go down due to purges, also making tech stealing harder.
