Star System EULA

Amusing Star names

I just noticed a star system in my current game called EULA. It had no planets so couldn't appear in the colony screen. I assume this is End User License Agreement.

I guess there are a lot of star names to come up with, but EULA? This prompted me to look for other amusing/interesting star names on my map. These are a few I came up with.

Algore (Al Gore)
Begle (Cari)
Bilbo (Baggins)
Bond (James)
Bullwinkle (Moose and Squirell)
Chebychev (Russian mathematician who came up with a set of polynomials that were used to model a class of band bass filters)
Cherryh (Science fiction writer)
Clair (as in Planet Clair from the B52's)
Wardell (Brad)
Yggdradill (I know this comes from a famous scifi book or series but I can't remember which)

There are also a whole bunch of B5 references but I never followed the series enough to get them all.

Tycho and Gabe (from Penny Arcade) are also star systems. Not to mention Hoth of course. I suppose that when you're trying to make a really long list of names, it becomes hard to keep things original!

Yggdrasill is the Tree Of Life from Norse (Viking) mythology.

Isn't Yggdrasill also the name of the Zerg hero overlord in Starcraft?

Isn't Wardell already a system? Or am I thinking of another game?

Yes it is. Mumble was pointing out the names of different stars on the galaxy map he was playing on.

Yggdrasil is also the name of the coolest ship ever from Xenogears. It starts out as a 'sandcruiser', then becomes a proper 'submarine', then finally it's an honest to gawd Airship. At some point, it's given a fourth form that lasts only long enough for a few cutscenes that have the original ship only part of a giant mecha the size of a city (the actual mecha part /was/ used as the central district of a city, while it was in 'aircruiser' form). It OMGWFTBBQPWNd some big nasty things. After all that, it goes back to being an airship.

But it's still uber-cool.

OMGWFTBBQPWNd

It's not so much that you used this ridiculus string of internet slang but that I understood what you meant without having to goggle it   BTW isn't it OMGWTFBBQPWNd?

'Weber' is also one named after one guy from the Stardock crew.

Check the credits in the game, there are a couple of other star system named after someone involved in the game.
