Checking Drive Existance

Help with DriveSystemObject

Looking for a way to use two images with states drive exist and drive no exist.

When Ipod is docjed it has a drive letter of "J:\". If frive exist then a Green.png.square will appear. When Ipod id undocked and "j:\" doesn't exist then a red.png will appear.

I suppose a timer will have to be used to keep checking.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

A timer and WMI script would be used in this kind of thing... SO I suggest Googling "WMI Classes: OS Classes" and have a nosy around

check out my Drive Meter WWW Link

It has that ability built in, along with the timer etc.
The trick on it is to put in an IF to NOT look at the A: B: drive, or else the floppy gets "hammered" all day long. I think the latest version fixed that. If not email me and ill help ya.

Hey guy;
I appreciate the widget will look at the section for the removable drives.
I wrote Stardock about their drive plug-in and told they had bet redo it and also add the section for SpeedFan for temps and fan speeds and hard disk health.

I am stil working on the green image rolldown so that it will roll don smoothly and then only use the frontpage image of the radar to fade in. Any ideas on the growth of this.

I got tae new trash can that shown folders,etc and there is a problem with it deleting folders, it just hangs on the delete image.

Thought I would talk at ya.

Thanks a million for the code on the removable drives, I wish I just had the code for the removable section. I that possible to get from ya. Say the Ipod. Is it there or not and use an image fot there and not their.

Take Care
