Awaiting Moderation

Keep waiting.

DeviantArt can make this!

Post at Devart only then.

Wincustomize teaches patience.

That's because DA doesn't have any moderation. You can upload any old crap there

Everything here has to pass through moderation. It saves the public from rips, items which don't work, items likely to cause offence and anything else not fit to be let loose.

DeviantArt is a free-for-all, for all sorts of art and is of a size that it's impractical to do submission moderation.  Trust me when I say that moderation does wonders for our available gallery.  We weed out broken submissions, inappropriate ones, miscategorized ones, and in some cases truely aweful ones (I'm talking MS Paint works).

We're not going to go to an open submission system.  Simply is not going to happen.

May I just be the first to type:

THANK GOD FOR MODERATION AND THE MODERATORS WHICH CARRY IT OUT!

I feel sure any serious skinner, who has visited any other site that does not moderate submissions, will echo this statement.

lol....that was funny.

As much as I like the instant gratification of DA - its just not the same.

I upload stuff there and forget to go back for days. Your just a little pixil in a pile there.

Yeah, I suppose no skins being in queue would take a bit longer to moderate. lmao...

Hey, If everything was approved like DA, then this place would be like DA...

Not that I'm saying anything bad about them, but WC is 110% quality stuff.. DA is far from.

I love deviantART.

However, their system wouldn't work so well here because our content is mostly focused around software that takes that content and applies it to a program or the entire system.  If someone uploads something that's broken or whatever, it's not just a minor annoyance to the user.

I've only ever downloaded a few wallpapers of interest from devArt....I'd prefer to get my skins from WC, where I know the quality content to be checked out and safe. Gone are the days of surfing the net for them...what with spyware and malware so prevelant these days, skins bundled with all sorts of harmful crap in exe files.

I do of course exclude DA, Skinalicious and other trusted sites closely associated with WC....sorry I couldn't think to mention you all.

There is some good stuff on DA. Check out wallpapers from Celso Junior for example, I use them a lot.

I feel the same way Starkers. I only go to sites that are associated with WC. I use surf around a lot but i've even had trojans pop up at music lyric sites that I had been to many times before without issue. Between WC and DA and a few other affilated sites - there is enough " stuff "

According to my opinion DA has to offer more quality much. Here on WC there are much fast made things, from inferior quality, which is to serve usually only for it over as much as possible Downloads too received - competition

I know it takes a lot of time and energy to actually do a good, thorough and consistent job. Not to mention all the crap that you guys get for doing it.

So a big huge to all of you moderators!
