Want to ship an application-specific theme in XP

Want to disctribute my old windows app with it's very own theme - can anyone help?

Kind folks,

I'm a newbie on this forum having just discovered the wonders of WindowBlinds.
I'm a software developer and I have an older windows app that I would like to investigate if I can give it its very own theme - just like as if I selected one fo a great WindowBlinds themes BUT... only for this one application.

The point being that because of some weird custom controls in this application, if I simply provide a manifiest file some of the weird pseudo-combo boxes do not work when enabling MS XP visual style.

However - the amazing WindowBlinds skins DO let my custom controls work!!!
Fantastic but I can't distribute this 3rd party app (WindowBlinds) with my application so does anybody know what I need to do in order to get a WindowBlinds-like theme working JUST for my application in windows XP??

Hoping that somebody can help me out here or maybe point me in the right direction.

Thank You,
Simon

It sounds like you need Stardock's DirectSkin, which is an OCX based on WindowBlinds technology that you can easily integrate into your application. You can download a trial and get licensing information here: https://www.stardock.com/products/directskin/

Thank you very much! I downloaded DirectSkin and I'm taking a look now - I think I can definately make a case for us to use this.

What a great forum this is.
